Our goals are to:

  • Share and disseminate information
  • Promote collaboration
  • Advocate for improved services and improved outcomes in all areas of life for transitioning youth

Raise the Age Inititative:

The statewide initiative to legislatively change the current policy of 16- and 17-year olds automatically being tried in the adult criminal court system regardless of alleged infraction.  The goal of “Raise the Age” is to have 16- and 17-years old tried in juvenile court system, with judicial discretion given to judges to transfer cases of serious criminal infractions to adult criminal court.  For more information on this issue visit: www.ncchild.org
