Mecklenburg County SOC “MeckCARES” Child & Family Team Trainings: The Mecklenburg County System of Care Training Institute (or MCTI) is happy to offer courses to the public. These programs are intended to educate youth, families, and organizations to effectively integrate System of Care principles, the Wraparound approach, and evidence-based practices into their daily lives. Step by Step: An Introduction to Child and Family Teams is a two-day interactive orientation and practice training focused on the use of child and family teams as part of service delivery within the North Carolina Multiple Response System. This curriculum is targeted to Child Welfare and Work First workers, facilitators, and community providers involved in child and family team meetings for DSS. The training is from 9am until 4pm. The University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s Center for Youth, Family and Community Partnerships (CYFCP) delivers multiple courses related to Child and Family Team processes and facilitation. In doing so, CYFCP partners with family members as co-trainers and as providers of technical assistance to support ongoing learning environments.
Child and Family Team courses offered through CYFCP are:

· Child and Family Teams from the Family’s Perspective: Part Two - A Cross Systems Approach to Facilitating Family Driven Meetings
· Person Centered Planning: A Child and Family Team Approach
